A virtual private network (VPN) is a private data network that makes use of the public telecommunication infrastructure, maintaining privacy through the use of tunneling protocol and security procedures.

VPN access is useful for CFHC staff and students who use a commercial Internet connection service and wish to access the CFHC resources (the library's electronic resources).

Note: Your computer will not be accessible from the local LAN when you are connected to the VPN services.
