Virtual Private Network (VPN) Access

This page will guide you through the procedure to setup Virtual Private Network (VPN) client to get connect to Computer Centre.

Step 1: Preparation

First of all, make sure that your computer has a well-installed Windows with TCP/IP protocol, Dial-up Networking. Also you should have a well-configured Internet connection provided by local ISP (e.g. Internet Boardband Access).

Step 2: Download VPN client

Click here to download the VPN Client to your Desktop.

Step 3: Install VPN client

On Desktop, double-click vpnclent.exe file .

Click Run button.

Click Install button.

Click Next button.

  1. Select I accept the license agreement.
  2. Click Next button.

Click Next button.

Click Next button.

Click Finish button.

Click Yes button.

 

Step 4: Configure VPN client

Click Start button, select All Programs, Cisco Systems VPN Client, VPN Dialer.

Click Import button.

 

Select CFHC.pcf from c:\vpn.

Click OK button.

Step 5: Configure proxy server settings (Internet Explorer only)

  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Select Internet Options.

Click Connections tag.

Click LAN Settings.

  1. Check Use automatic configuration script.
  2. Type http://pac/proxy.pac in Address.
  3. Click OK button.

Click OK button.

 


Start VPN connection

Click Connect button.

  1. Type your username in User name. (same as your email username)
  2. Type your password in Password. (same as your email password)
  3. Click OK button.

 

Disconnect VPN connection

Double click icon.

Click Disconnect button.
