The Information Technology Services Centre Mission Statement
The Information Technology Services Centre mission statement is focused
in four areas: Service, Staff, Technology and Market.
Service
The Information Technology Services Centre will provide, manage, support
and enhance all academic computer services, central administrative computer
services, the College internal network, the connection to external networks
and network services such as electronic mail.
The Information Technology Services Centre will also provide an advisory
and help desk service for all users of hardware and software supported
by the Information Technology Services Centre.
In doing the above the Information Technology Services Centre will
advise and consult with users as to their requirements and views of
the provided service.
Staff
The Information Technology Services Centre will provide a healthy and
interesting work environment for all its staff members. Staff will be
encouraged and supported in their requirements for both formal and informal
training.
Technology
The Information Technology Services Centre will keep abreast of developments
in the fields of computer hardware, software and networking and will
evaluate new technology such that it can provide advice to College in
these fields and can introduce new technology and software as required.
Market
The Information Technology Services Centre will endeavour to ensure
that its services are used pervasively within the College. The Information
Technology Services Centre will sample and test the internal market
to see that the current services are useful and will enhance and upgrade
its services as required.
