簡介
General Education courses form an integral component
of each of the Higher Diploma programmes and Associate Degree programmes
of the Institute. They are designed to introduce students to a body of knowledge
of different disciplines which are deemed necessary for their intellectual
and social well-being. The courses enable students to understand the diversity
of approaches to knowledge, perspectives and attitudes in areas regarded
as integral to collegiate education. The wide exposure helps students
to meet different challenges in life.
The objectives of the General Education courses are to
enable students to:
- broaden their perceptual and conceptual horizons;
- integrate knowledge from a variety of sources and fields;
- make critical judgements and decisions in a logical and rational
manner; and
- be imbued with a sense of moral and intellectual responsibility.
