Preparatory Course for IBAM
Advanced Diploma in Business
Administration
This course aims to prepare learners holding various business-related
diplomas for further training in Business Administration. It also facilitates
learners with the relevant knowledge and skills for the assessment requirements
for the modules of the IBAM AdvDBA and
possibly leading to the final stage of a Bachelor Degree (Hons) programme
in Business Administration offered by an overseas partner of Caritas Francis
Hsu College in Hong Kong.
- Focus on administration in a "real-work context".
- Teaching will be conducted in Cantonese, supplemented by English.
- Teaching materials, assignments and examinations are in English.
- Students can finish the whole course in eight months.
There are four modules in the course, total 180 tuition hours:

This course is designed to assist students to assess the impact of the
role, scope and principles of accounting as applicable to the recording
of business transactions. It is also geared to equip students with a thorough
understanding of and the ability to apply the current practical methods
used in making financial management decision, and the ability to evaluate
alternative sources of finance and to assess investment possibilities.
This course is designed to enable students to understand the business
and where it is place within the market of its activities and the need
for marketing information.

This course introduces students to the basic concepts of management information
systems. The areas of study include handling business data, office automation
policy and planning, electronic commerce and internet legal and ethical
issues.

This course is designed to assist students to understand the basic elements
and process of revising business planning and strategies in the rapid
changing business and social environment.
