Scholarships

The John William Cannon General Education Scholarship (博雅教育獎學金) was established by Mr. John William Cannon (何康寧先生) of the General Education Office. The objective of the scholarship is to award outstanding performances in General Education courses of Higher Diploma students who have completed Year 3 of their studies. The Scholarship will be awarded annually.

Criteria

  • Good results in General Education courses in Years 2 and 3.
  • Applicants are required to submit an essay of 1000-1500 words (either in Chinese or English) to express the insights they have gained from General Education.
  • The applicant's aggregate GPA of core courses must be 1.7 or above.
  • The applicat's aggregate GPA of GE courses must be 2.7 or above.
  • The applicant must be a full time Higher Diploma student of the College.

Distribution of Scholarship

Two students will be awarded $5,000 each.

Period of Application

October to Mid November each year.
