Professional Recognition

At present, this is the only local programme being officially moderated by the Institute of Linguists (IoL). This qualifies our graduates for the associate membership (ACIL) as well as the Joint Diploma in Translation and Interpreting if they have above average results in the final year of the Programme. Students who achieve 65% or above in the relevant final year courses will enjoy exemption of up to two modules in the International Diploma in Bilingual Communication (IDBC). Upon passing all four modules plus acquiring relevant work experience, students are eligible for the full membership (MCIL), which is recognised as having Degree equivalent status for postgraduate studies and appointment to related civil service positions.
