English Clinic

A native English-speaking teacher takes part in this half-hour session. Conversation is basically casual so topics for discussion are open-ended; students are welcome to talk about whatever they want. The purpose of this activity is to arouse participants' interest, diagnose their language needs and increase their confidence in speaking English. It is one of the most popular activities we have organized.

Putonghua Diagnosis Services

A Putonghua teacher who holds the certificates of the "普通話水平測試" and "省級普通話水平測試員" with extensive teaching experience in the Mainland, offers one-to-one Putonghua consultation services for all students. The services range from identifying problems in speaking Putonghua to getting prepared for the widely recognized examination of "普通話水平測試".

Language Nurse

Language Nurses are on duty on the Oxford Road Campus and Caine Road Campus respectively on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. They offer basic language consultation as well as guidance to all students in selecting and using learning resources in the SALs.
