Background
The Language Centre
of Caritas Francis Hsu College
was first established on the Caine Road Campus in
February 2000 and then extended to the Oxford Road Campus in October 2001.
It offers diverse and flexible ways for students to increase
their language proficiency, such as organizing Language Enhancement Courses
/ Activities on a regular basis. The Centre comprises two Self-Access
Laboratories, which contain self-access learning materials in English,
Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese) and Japanese
at elementary, intermediate and advanced levels. It also accommodates a Language Laboratory, which provides facilities for training students' listening and oral skills, and also group conferencing and interpreting techniques.
